Have you ever considered a straightforward pattern that pervades all aspects of life, yet remains largely unnoticed? This framework can enable you to manifest nearly everything you desire, be it launching your dream business, securing that promotion, advancing your career, or enhancing your personal relationships. The Omnipresent STAR Framework

The pattern we are about to explore has been present since the beginning of time. It's so common that we often overlook it. It’s easy to remember, thanks to its acronym:

STAR

S = See

T = Think

A = Act

R = Reap

The diagram at the beginning illustrates how our results (reap) stem from our actions (act), which are influenced by our thoughts (think) derived from what we observe (see).

In summary, what you observe leads to thoughts that prompt you to take action, ultimately resulting in tangible outcomes. While thinking and seeing are internal processes, actions serve as the bridge connecting our inner world with external results. The outcomes we experience in life are typically external manifestations rooted in our internal choices and actions, influenced by our perceptions.

Until there is a shift within, new results cannot emerge from us.

Now, let’s reverse the perspective and examine it from the outside in. The graphic resembles a target for a reason. To achieve success (reap), you must first identify your target. After reflecting on what you observe, your subsequent actions can be more intentional, allowing you to achieve optimal results.

Although results manifest externally, they originate from our internal processes. Whether the outcome is intangible, like a relationship, or a material possession, everything begins with your observations and the meaning you assign to them.

Applying the STAR Method

Consider a scenario where your goal is to enhance a relationship with a colleague. The current dynamics of the relationship are shaped by your perceptions and interpretations.

If you aim to change the relationship, you might instinctively try to influence the other person’s perspective. However, this approach is often ineffective. A more fruitful strategy is to look inward and reassess your own perceptions.

For instance, you might cultivate empathy for your colleague. You could realize that they are overwhelmed with work or facing personal challenges. As your understanding deepens, your behavior towards them is likely to transform, leading to improved interactions and potentially a renewed relationship.

Let me share a personal experience. I once struggled with a colleague whom I perceived as selfish. His conversations revolved around his achievements, and I often felt dismissed.

However, one day he spoke about his father and appeared visibly affected. This sparked my curiosity and prompted me to reconsider my views. I pondered whether he had faced difficulties in his past or was compensating for insecurities.

As I began to understand him better, our relationship evolved into a supportive friendship. By recognizing his struggles, I was able to offer encouragement, leading to mutual growth.

This transformation occurred not because of my words but due to my changed perception of him, which altered my actions, resulting in a positive outcome for both of us.

Reflect on something you aspire to create in your life and apply the STAR approach. With time, you may be surprised by the results you achieve.
