The ageless beings resided within an immense castle, a structure of unparalleled grandeur. They remained there until the moment arrived for them to fulfill their purpose. Some lingered longer than others, and while some had more significant roles to play, every one of them held a unique position and purpose.

Each day, the Primes, the foremost among the ageless beings, convened to instruct their counterparts in their responsibilities. They imparted wisdom about their new roles, positioning them as the anchors of a nascent realm known as the universe. They were destined to uphold its very fabric and serve as the foundation of all existence.

The ageless ones were a diverse lot. Some blazed with a fierce blue radiance, while others towered in a deep red hue.

Yet, even entities older than time itself were not immune to mockery. The larger beings often derided the smaller ones. The bright, blue stars found amusement in teasing their dimmer, less imposing kin.

Among them was Sirius, a star that outshone all others, and Betelgeuse, who dwarfed them all. They reveled in their dominance, especially targeting an ordinary star named Sol. With neither exceptional brilliance nor size, Sol was so unremarkable that the others frequently overlooked him—except when they sought to poke fun at him. He bore the teasing with grace, largely because he had little choice in the matter.

The Primes gathered the stars and declared it was their time to ascend. They formed a line, stepping through the gates to another realm.

As the Primes observed their departure, they commented on each star.

“Although Sol may not be the most radiant star nor the ruler of a grand galaxy, he holds a special significance.”

“How so?” they all inquired.

“The scrolls reveal that Sol will be the cradle of life. One tiny planet orbiting him will become the birthplace of all living beings. It may take an eon, but eventually, life will emerge from his small corner of the universe, expanding to fill the cosmos, with little Sol presiding over it all.”

And the Primes watched as Sol ventured through the gates, unaware of the monumental role he was destined to play in the unfolding universe.
