I can hear some skeptics saying, "But I'm not a morning person!" If you continue to believe that, you'll remain stuck in that mindset. Take the plunge—hit the sack early, rise earlier, and get your workout in.

During my university years, I faced challenges with my academic performance. Balancing classes, two part-time jobs, sports, and a relationship proved difficult. Ironically, I had never been taught how to manage my time effectively.
While I was aware of my class schedules and deadlines, I failed to allocate sufficient time for studying and completing assignments. I often scrambled to finish tasks just before they were due.
One evening, as I prepared my bag for the next day, I decided to try something new: I wrote a to-do list. This simple act transformed my approach to productivity. By prioritizing tasks for the following day, I found I could complete them more efficiently and with greater comprehension.
Using a red pen to check off completed tasks provided satisfying motivation through small dopamine hits. While there are countless apps for to-do lists, be cautious—much time can be wasted finding the "perfect" solution rather than just getting things done. Choose a straightforward planning method that works for you and stick with it.
Section 1.3: The Benefits of Reading Before Sleep
Sleep lays the groundwork for all areas of success. Our performance at work, in the gym, and in personal life can be directly tied to our sleep quality.
One of the simplest ways to enhance your sleep is by eliminating screens before bedtime. Instead of scrolling through social media or binge-watching shows, consider picking up a book.
Reading not only helps lower your heart rate, which prepares your body for sleep, but it also alleviates muscle tension. After a day spent in front of screens, allowing your brain to unwind with a good book significantly improves sleep quality.
I’ve noticed multiple benefits from this practice:

- Acquisition of new and intriguing knowledge
You can delve into any genre you prefer, whether it’s a contemporary bestseller or a thought-provoking classic. Make reading a part of your bedtime routine.
Incorporating new habits requires patience and persistence. I haven’t perfected these practices; there are nights when I skip reading or don’t feel like planning. However, understanding their positive impact on my life makes them worthwhile.
Aristotle once stated, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
